Thomas the Tank Engine design

Single beds are the right options for them who are single and don't have big space. Single beds have a variety of designs, colors and make. You have wooden single beds, metal ones, racer car single beds and even Thomas the Tank Engine designs. If you have a toddler, you need to make sure that the single bed you are going to purchase sits low to the ground as your child will need to get used to the change. Also, you need to make sure that you're purchasing toddler single beds with curved corners and scratch-proof coatings to ensure that it is safe for your kid's first night alone in bed.

Standard metal bunk beds are two beds which are stacked one on top of the other. Most bunk beds are twin beds but there are also designs wherein the single beds are on top of the full bed. In some cases, there's a design where you have a twin bed over empty space. This last design works best if you only have one child and the room is very small. This design will allow you to put a coach, a desk or even a dresser underneath which is really a great way to save space. Aside from that, it also adds an element to the overall design of the room. This kind of bunk bed is usually called as high sleepers and should be used by kid's aged 6 and above.

There are also some futon bunk beds where you have a standard bunk bed over a futon bed. Just like high sleepers, the top bunk of a double bed is only suitable for children who are six years old and above.

For rooms with small space, another choice is a midi or cabin bed. Midi beds usually have built-in drawers and cupboards underneath which can be used as play tent or storage space for large toys. Unfortunately, if you have kids aged five and below, you need to make sure that the area is free from ropes or plastic that could endanger your kid. Midi beds are lower than bunk beds and suitable for younger children.
